Wireless Data Collection System

We offer a few different wireless sensor systems. One by Campbell Scientific and two by Onset Computer Corp.. Below is information on these systems. Campbell Scientific offers the CWS Family of wireless sensors and communication devices.

The CWS family of wireless sensors expands measurement possibilities by allowing sensors to be installed at a distance from the datalogger without cables. We offer an interface that connects to a variety of sensors, providing them with wireless capability. We also offer a wireless infrared radiometer and soil water content sensor.

There are situations when it is desirable to make measurements in locations where the use of cabled sensors is problematic. Protecting cables by running them through conduit or burying them in trenches is time consuming, labor intensive, and sometimes not even possible. Local fire codes may preclude the use of certain types of sensor cable inside buildings. In some applications measurements need to be made at distances where long cables decrease the quality of the measurement or are too expensive. There are also times when it is important to increase the number of measurements being made but the datalogger does not have enough available channels left for attaching additional sensor cables.

Onset HOBOnode Wireless Sensor System

Field-proven HOBO reliability with the convenience of wireless.

HOBOnode wireless sensors monitor temperature and soil moisture conditions and transmit the data back to your computer. They enable you to view current conditions through a remote sensor, receive alarm notifications, and log data on your PC without having to run cables through the field.

• Sensors transmit current field conditions to your PC
• Accompanying software provides alarm notifications to your cell phone, e-mail, or PC.
• HOBOnode Repeaters available to extend range
• Sensors can be easily added to a HOBOnode network
• Ideal for frost alarms, irrigation management, and agricultural research.

HOBO ZW Series Wireless Sensor System

HOBO ZW Series wireless data nodes provide centralized monitoring of energy and environmental conditions in buildings. Best suited for on-site facility monitoring applications, HOBO data nodes transmit high accuracy, real-time data from different points in the facility to a central receiver connected to a computer. This eliminates the need to manually off load data from individual data loggers, saving you time and money.
Accompanying HOBOware Pro software (included) can be configured to automatically send data from the wireless network to others via email or FTP, or save it to a network drive or the connected computer.
