Solar Energy Monitoring Systems
The CST100 is an automated data
acquisition system specifically designed for concentrated
solar technology (CST) monitoring applications.
The standard package is designed to meet CaISO EIRP
Solar Telemetry Standards. Systems are easily customized
with accessories for every aspect of the station, from communications to mounting options. Typical
applications include resource assessment and performance
monitoring where active direct normal irradiance
measurements are required.

Features/Benefits
- Contains a Campbell Scientifi CR1000 Measurement
and Control Datalogger
- Uses ISO 9060-classified thermopile-style sensors
that measure direct normal irradiance (DNI) and
global horizontal radiation (GH)
- Includes dual axis tracker for DNI measurement
with <0.05 degree field of view
- Reduces installation time by using a prewired /
preprogrammed integrated design
- Supports various communication technologies
such as IP, cellular, RS-485, and satellite.
- Complies with Modbus, Canbus, and DNP 3.0
protocols simplifi ng system integration
- Provides a battery back system that allows
data collection during power outages and
network failure
- Consists of a modular design that promotes
customization
Custom Systems
We can design and install any type of solar monitoring station that you require. We can integrate software and peripherals to get your data to the correct computers and individuals. These systems are completely customized based on your requirements. We sell solar panels, batteries and charging regulators.

In 2011 we were contracted to install the Weather Station and Solar Tracker shown to the left. Ermco Green Energy Group installed the Solar Generating System, the project included a solar panel testing laboratory area consisting of a 3,000 watt medium efficiency crystalline module array, 3,000 watt thin-film laminate array, 3,000 watt thin-film panel array and a 3,000 watt thin-film cylindrical array. The laboratory area has a weather station data server and solar tracker, which reports the potential power generation and all relative atmospheric information .
- Wind Speed & Direction
- Temperature & Relative Humidity
- Snow Depth (roof snow)
- Video Camera (TCP/IP)
- Heated Rain Gauge
- Solys2 Solar Tracker (pyrheliometer and four pyranometers)
The data from this station is available to the building maintenance staff through a Modbus RS485 link to their SCADA system. The data is also accessible through a cellular modem link and Campbell Scientific LoggerNet software.
