pH Solution

Our pH calibrating buffers are formulated with NIST specified ingredients including EPA registered broad-spectrum antimicrobials to assure long-life free of mold and bacterial growth. These are color coded for easy recognition. Accuracy is referenced to NIST Standard Reference Materials ±0.01 pH @ 25°C for routine buffers and ±0.002/0.005 @ 25°C for high-accuracy buffers. Traceability certificates are furnished on request. The buffers are packed in 500-mL,1, 4 & 20- liter containers. All screw capped containers include tamper evident double seal caps to prevent leakage and security. A convenience dispensing faucet is available as an extra for the 20-liter cube.. These items are always in stock for prompt shipment. In addition to the routine pH 4, 7 & 10 buffers, Calitech buffers at pH 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 11 & 12 are available on order. Please tell us what you need. These are made to the same exacting standards as the routine buffers. They are supplied uncolored and are certifiable to NIST Standards.

Conductivity

Conductivity Calibrating Standards are provided from stock. Potassium chloride standards are the traditional standards for conductimeter calibration. Potassium chloride is preferred because it is readily available in pure form, highly ionized in water; and the ions are about the same size and weight.

ORP - Oxidation/Reduction Standards

Intermountain Environmental provides the Calitech ORP-Oxidation/Reduction Standards. These aqueous standards are prepared from ferric/ferrous salts to permit stable and ready-to-use calibration solutions. Messy hydroquinone/buffer mixtures is eliminated. Values of 100, 240, 300, 465 and 600 mill volts are available from stock packaged in our atmosphere impervious stand-up pouches. Each package carries a specific lot number with traceability records and expiration date. The new spout design permits ready instrument use. Each standard may be used until container is empty because the proprietary stand-up pouch, equipped with a one-way valve, protects against atmospheric contamination and assures accuracy with each use. The Calitech standard solutions are ideal for instrument and test method calibration and validation. When the standard is dispensed, the pouch collapses around the contents preventing air contamination.

Dissolved Oxygen (zero oxygen)

A solution of ascorbate and sulfite formulated with anti-microbial. This solution provides a zero standard for proper and accurate calibration. Calibration with Calitech Zero-Oxygen Standard eliminates the errors from electrical (disconnect) zero calibration which arise from internal offsets in the electrode. Because the solution is fresh each time, the problems with homemade solution stability are eliminated.

Turbidity

Listed below are the Turbidity Calibrating Standards which we provide as standard items. All Calitech standards are formulated with the finest ingredients including stable polymer particles of narrow size distribution (230nm ±20nm), EPA registered broad-spectrum antimicrobials to assure long life free of mold and bacterial growth. Specially prepared standards are available on request. Simply let us know what you need. Turbidity is a measurement made by light scattering. The degree of scatter, among other factors, depends on particle size and shape as well as wavelength used to make the measurement. Since different meters use different wavelenghts, we need to know meter brand and model to select the proper match with formazin. When ordering, be sure to specify the make and model number of the meter to be calibrated.
