By "Remote Data Collection"
we are referring to the process in which a user would
like to transmit data from a station back to a base station
for data analysis or review. Reasons to install remote
data systems are varied such as, site is in a very
remote location, difficult to reach location, expensive
man hours for manual collection, need of an automated
collection schedule, need of alarm features, networked
system for web data, or simply convenience.

Intermountain has designed and installed
many remote data collection and monitoring
systems. We work mainly with the Campbell
Scientific telemetry equipment due to
its quality and ruggedness.

Remote Data Collection can be a challenge depending
on many factors. That is why there are many options
to choose from. Below is a list of the remote data
collection systems that we have worked with and
can assist you in designing and installing (if

We can mix and match nearly all of the above

example: You can combine radio with cellular
to increase your distance between the base
station and the remote site(s). Or combine
license free radio with a telephone modem to
get data from one building to another etc.
FCC Licensing
A Federal Communication Commission license is required before ordering
