A WeatherHawk weather station on the summit above the Harry's Dream Lift measures the air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and wind direction. About 25 yards downhill from the summit is a Campbell Scientific CR510 Datalogger system which measures the new snow and the total snow depths. Both systems communicate over a wireless 900 mHz radio connection from the summit down to the Base Station located in the equipment shed at the base of the mountain. At the Base Station an NL100 Network Link connects the Radio to the Internet. Below you will see the data provided by the WeatherHawk and the CR510 systems. These systems were installed and are maintained by Intermountain Environmental, Inc. of Logan, UT. This page is updated every 30 minutes.

This reflects the accumulation of new snow from about 8:00 am one day until about 8:00 am the next day. The measurement is reset each day when the snow board where the measurement is made is cleared off.

New Snow

This measurement is taken at a site above the Harry's Dream Lift. It will increase with new snowfall and decrease as the snow compacts. THIS IS NOT THE SAME SITE WHERE THE MEASUREMENT IS TAKEN FOR THE BASE DEPTH THAT IS REPORTED ON THE WEB PAGE.

Total Snow Depth

This is the estimate for the total snow fall for the year. The value is calculated from snow fall measured by the sensors mentioned above.
